Undergraduate Entrance Awards
Entrance St. Thomas University Scholarship are granted to incoming first-year students who demonstrate strong academic performance. Applicants with a minimum admission average of 80% (or equivalent) are eligible to apply. These scholarships range in value from $500 to $5,000 and are renewable for students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.7 during their second, third, and fourth years of study.
Need-Based Entrance Bursaries
St. Thomas University offers need-based entrance bursaries to first-year students who demonstrate financial need. These bursaries, valued between $500 and $3,000, are available to students and may also be awarded in recognition of support from friends, faculty, and staff. Applicants must submit a completed bursary application form along with all required supporting documents through the university’s application portal.
Student Leader Scholarships – Leadership
The Student Leader Scholarship is intended to recognize exceptional student leaders who are likely to make meaningful contributions to St. Thomas University’s dynamic campus environment. Applicants for St. Thomas University Scholarship with an admission average between 80% and 89% are awarded $3,000 for their first year, with the opportunity to renew the scholarship at $2,000 per year, up to a total of $9,000. Those who enter with a 90% or higher average receive $4,000 in their first year, renewable at $2,000 annually, for a maximum value of $10,000.
Prestige Scholarships – Academic Distinction
St. Thomas University Scholarship are highest-value renewable awards, recognizing exceptional academic talent among incoming students. To be considered, applicants must hold a minimum admission average of 80% (or an international equivalent) and submit a completed scholarship application for evaluation.
Global Excellence Award – Chancellor’s Scholarship
The Chancellor’s International Scholarship covers full international tuition and is awarded annually to the highest-achieving international first-year students. In addition to outstanding academic performance, demonstrated leadership qualities are also considered during the selection process. Global Distinction Award – President’s Scholarship
Covers up to full tuition and is renewable for an additional three years. This award is granted annually to the highest-performing international students entering their first year, with selection based solely on academic excellence.
Academic Merit Award – President’s Scholarship
Each year, top-performing first-year students receive a full-tuition renewable scholarship in recognition of their academic excellence. To continue receiving the award, recipients must maintain a minimum annual GPA of 3.7.
Excellence in Leadership Award – Chancellor’s Scholarship
Covers full tuition along with single room and board, provided the recipient resides on campus to qualify for the housing component. Awarded annually to an incoming first-year student who shows outstanding academic achievement. While academic excellence is the primary selection criterion, leadership qualities and adaptability are also considered. Recipients must maintain a minimum annual GPA of 3.7 to retain the scholarship.
Msgr. George W. Martin Excellence Award
This scholarship covers full tuition, a double room, and board, with eligibility for housing benefits contingent upon living on campus. Awarded annually to outstanding first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and potential. Recipients must maintain a minimum annual GPA of 3.7 to retain the scholarship.

To be considered for scholarships, applicants must submit a completed application along with all required supporting documents. Once you have received an offer of admission from St. Thomas University, you will gain access to the online scholarship application through your applicant portal. To complete the process, you’ll need to prepare the following additional materials and follow the outlined instructions:
Step 1: Complete the Scholarship Application Form
After receiving an offer of admission from St. Thomas University, access your applicant portal to fill out the official Scholarship Application Form.
Step 2: Personal Statement
Submit a one to two-page typed letter explaining why you are a strong candidate for a major scholarship. Highlight your academic achievements, leadership roles, and any other relevant experiences.
Step 3: Resume
Include a detailed resume listing your activities since the beginning of high school. Be sure to mention any jobs, volunteer work, awards, or recognitions you’ve received.
Step 4: Reference Letter
